One of my favorite artists/ groups from にほん is the オレンジレンジ (Orange Range). There are five  members（いま)now(Naoto Hiroyama, Ryo Miyamori, Yamato Ganeko, Yoh Miyamori, Hiroki Hokama);Kitao Kazuhito left because he didn’t like the band’s movement into more hip hop. But I fell that he in retrospect helped the band go in that direction when he quit, leaving the without a drum player. What's a rock band without a drummer? The Beatles without Ringo Star?

However, I like them because they remind me of the Beastie Boys because the Orange Range brings a new fusion of alternative rock and hip hop that I haven’t heard before. This means I can actually enjoy all of their songs rather than the ones that are just used as openers and closers for my favorite アニメ(anime).

A new adventure!

Konbanwa Minna!

Dikibo desu.

I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm excited to finally be in this course. I remember in my childhood, wow I'm getting old, and friend introduced me to manga. Since then I been hooked on it because it's more exciting to read to comic than to watch it for some reason. Only recently I started watching anime. Some of my favorite series are Inuyasha, Naruto, Ranma 1/2 and the list goes on. I would like to watch a drama but I haven't found decent site with working links.

Manga and anime aside, I am somewhat of a history buff. I find the concept of bushido fascinating.  As a fellow swordwoman, I have upmost respect for the way of the samurai. I would also like to try kendo. It's a dream of mine to go to Japan one day. This is class is the first step in reaching that goal.
